Andrew Weir

Andrew is the Regional Senior Partner of KPMG in Hong Kong and Vice Chairman of KPMG China, bringing over 30 years of experience advising listed companies, public institutions, investment funds, and multinational corporations across Asia and internationally. He is widely recognized for his leadership in corporate governance, board effectiveness, and business-community engagement, and founded KPMG’s Independent Non-Executive Directors Forum.

A Fellow of both the ICAEW and HKICPA, and a Fellow and Council Member of the Institute of Directors, Andrew is also a frequent speaker at global forums, universities, and business schools on governance and strategy. Over his career at KPMG, he has held a number of senior regional and global leadership roles, including Global Chairman of Asset Management and Real Estate and ASPAC Chairman of Infrastructure, Government and Healthcare.

Andrew has served on numerous boards, government bodies, and advisory committees, including the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, the Financial Services Development Council, and the Listing Committee of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. He has also chaired the Pacific Basin Economic Council and Plan International, and contributed to multiple organizations advancing trade, governance, and business development across Hong Kong, China, and the UK.

In recognition of his contributions, Andrew was appointed a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in 2017 and named Director of the Year by the Institute of Directors. He is also a Justice of the Peace and holds an Honours degree in Economics and a Master’s degree in Economic Development.
